چکیده

How to effectively use an intelligent aid-to-navigation (AtoN) prevent ships from accidentally colliding with offshore marine platforms (OMPs) is important issue for maritime environment. This study proposes a novel collision alert system three components process Automatic Identification System (AIS) data in the cloud and broadcast AtoNs order avoid OMPs. The first component receives as input fuzzy linguistic variables (vessel size, relative speed, approach distance) AIS calculates radius of guarding ring. second serves Marine GIS (MGIS), where simulates based on ring at one levels: green (continuous light), amber (slow flash alarm), red (flash fast alarm). third warning indicator device, signaling risk between moving platforms. MGIS can also be used OMP approaching warn platform workers vessel traffic service (VTS) on-duty operators. ability proposed protect OMPs collisions has been verified. Other potential applications include wind turbines, oil rigs, or other working

Reliability Based Assessment of Existing Fixed Offshore Platforms Located in the Persian Gulf

This paper presents a detailed structural reliability procedure in order to achieve an acceptable safety margin for template type offshore platforms located in the Persian Gulf. Probability of failure in this study is calculated by considering the cumulative effects of all levels of wave loading during the lifetime of the structure and uncertainties associated with soil, material properties, co...

Structural System Reliability Framework For Fixed Offshore Platforms

The main objective of this project is to develop a generic framework which will set the basis for achieving more consistent system reliability assessments. The main steps involved in a system reliability assessment, together with the key technical and philosophical issues, will be identified and examined. Their interrelations and relative significance will be assessed in order to link them toge...
